How the process affects a programme

  • CNC machining suits lower quantities and shapes that would not justify a mould; it is how the KT001–KT004 references are produced.
  • Die casting needs tooling, and is the route that makes sense once a programme has volume; several housing and downlight references are published this way.
  • Cold forging presses the body rather than cutting or casting it, published here for the KT006 and KT009 references.
  • All three routes end at the same finishing and assembly steps, including driver box, lens or holder and surface finish, which are published per model.

What is confirmed before a housing programme starts

Body reference, kit contents, surface finish, labels and packaging are confirmed with the quotation. For an OEM or ODM programme the appearance, compatible components, surface finish, labels and packaging can be reviewed; feasibility depends on the product, the quantity and confirmed engineering requirements.
